No dog wasborn to be astray

Isis's owners abandoned their home for more than a month, leaving her tied up with no food, water, or anyone to care for her. Facing desperation and extreme hunger, Isis learned to crack open the coconuts that fell to the ground just to survive.

Nacho had an owner, and still lived among trash and debris — no food, no water, no care, no protection; completely abandoned. Today, Nacho has been waiting more than a year to find his forever home.

Linda lived tied up in a yard, exposed to sun and rain, with no water or food. To survive, she ate the avocados that fell to the ground, and when she vomited them up, she ate them again. She is one of our oldest cases and is still waiting for the family she deserves.

Sara was used for breeding and to sell her puppies. At a young age she went through multiple pregnancies and, due to lack of care, suffered from malnutrition, anemia, and skin problems. Sara is looking for a responsible home where she can finally receive the love and care she always lacked.

Sombra is another case of abandonment: her family moved away and left her behind, alone and uncared for. Even though she was barely a puppy, she had already known indifference and mistreatment. Today, Sombra is looking for a permanent home where she can grow up surrounded by love and protection.

Lupita was abandoned to fend for herself and walked for miles over hot asphalt. The heat was so intense that the skin of her little paws peeled away, leaving her unable to walk or fend for herself. Lupita is still waiting for the day she finds a family for life.

Life on the street exposes dogs to countless dangers. Millie was attacked by a larger dog, and the injuries to one of her little eyes were so severe that she ended up losing it. She is a noble, affectionate dog, friendly with other dogs, children, and adults.

Molly is another senior dog with a young spirit. She spent her whole life on the streets, but her innocence, love, and unconditional devotion remain intact. Despite her age, she is still a playful, fun, and energetic dog.

Even though she had owners, Pecas lived in a state of neglect; she suffered from mange and was never spayed, which led her through multiple pregnancies. Pecas is more than ready to find a family and start living the life she always deserved.

Cala was a mother three times over before finding shelter with us. She's a calm, active dog who just needs time to learn to trust people again. With patience and plenty of love, she's ready to heal the wounds the street left behind.

Gordilla is calm, loving, and gets along with cats, but she carries a trauma around men that needs patience to heal. She's looking to be an only child in a home where she can finally feel safe.

Lala is sociable, affectionate, and playful, though she has a shy side too. She needs daily walks, consistent care, and the security of a home that will always be by her side.

Thai is FIV-positive, which means he needs to be an only cat — unless he lives with another FIV-positive cat. He needs ongoing care for his wound and someone willing to give him the quality of life he deserves.

Bobby comes ready for his new home: neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed. All he needs is love, patience, and a safe home where he can go for walks and exercise every day.

Rocky is pure enthusiasm: he's bursting with energy, loves to play, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He's looking for someone ready to become an expert cuddler and nap buddy.

Santiago is calm, affectionate, and already neutered. He has a cauda equina condition that needs monitoring, but that doesn't take away from his charm one bit. He's looking for a calm home to enjoy his golden years.

Jimmy gets along with everyone: other dogs, adults, and kids too. All he asks for is playtime, unconditional love, and lots of constant cuddles.
